Below is a letter from Joe's dear friend Jason Federici (son of the late Danny Federici of the E Street Band). Please read through and visit dannyfund.org to support education and a cure for Melanoma and to download a new Joe Purdy song entitled "Carnival On High" for free. You can only get this song at dannyfund.org. It will not appear on an album.
Dear Joe Purdy Fans,
The "DannyFund" came to light as my fathers last dying wish. He wanted to touch as many people as he could to let them know about the dangers of the sun, Melanoma. We have had a lot of support over the last 9 months and
have raised the funds to conduct a major study with his doctor, Paul Chapman at Sloan Kettering memorial Hospital in NY.
Recently, with the help of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, we partnered with the Melanoma Research Alliance to make The Dannyfund a worldwide initiative to find a cure for melanoma. I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to visit our site and I sincerely want to thank my dear
friend Joe for being Joe. He has given me memories that will last a lifetime and friendship that is one of a kind....and so much more.
"Carnical On High" is a beautiful song written by my talented friend Joe. I ran into
my old pal Joe in NY by chance while my father was in the hospital and not doing so well. Joe canceled his ticked home and played for my Dad every night until he passed. This is the song Joe wrote for him and played at his funeral. All I can say is thank you Joe.
Please accept this song as a heartfelt and sincere gesture of thanks for helping us make The Danny Fund, not just a reality, but a force for educating folks and saving lives.
Enjoy & God Bless
Jason Federici
p.s. to download the song. Mac users hold
down option and click. PC users right-click. |

Finally some new music. Wish it was recorded under better circumstances.

| Beautiful! Sad to know the circumstance, but certainly gives it so much meaning. |

| I have never heard an artist who consistently puts out such great songs as Mr. Purdy does. I listened to Carnival on High like 10 times its just a really cool song. Hopefully he can put it on an album he releases. |

How nice of Joe to cancel his trip and stay with him.
Another great addition to the library too.
For those of you having trouble. If you just click it (not right click) it should go to a blank page that plays the song. Then you can click File -:> save page as...
that should do the trick. It's essential the same thing as "save target as..." _________________ "when you stop dreamin', it's time to die." - Blind Melon |
